About Us

The Texas International Institute of Health Professions (TIIHP) is a
Non- Profit 501(c) (3) Community Based Organization established in 2012.
TIIHP is a certified health center approved by the Texas Medical Board
under section 62.001. TIIHP was established after an extensive planning
process initiated by a group of public health consultants, physicians
and community members who recognized the need for health care services
among individuals living in its immediate service area and other
surrounding communities. These services are in high demand; because
existing providers did not offer culturally appropriate care or are
unable to address the complex needs of this multi-cultural community.
The Texas International Institute of Health Professions provides
comprehensive and integrated primary care, family health, dental and
specialty care services to low income and uninsured Texans. Since its
inception, TIIHP has provided services to more than 50,000 patients
through its three community clinics, a high quality, affordable,
accessible and equitable health services to poverty stricken men, women
and children of Greater Houston Area.

Mission

The mission of TIIHP is to increase access to high quality, integrated
primary and behavioral; dental and preventive health care and to provide
community education and resources to improve the health literacy and
health care of undeserved and vulnerable populations without their
ability to pay. VCare Clinics (clinic sites for TIIHP), since its
inception, have provided high quality, low cost primary medical care to
residents in the Greater Houston Area (GHA); focusing on the immediate
underserved areas of Southeast Houston.
